Product Features

Bare Concrete Primer is a water-based, acrylic copolymer, pigmented adhesion-promoting primer specially developed for bare concrete surfaces. It offers excellent adhesion and fast drying with high alkali resistance. It acts as a bonding bridge between the concrete substrate and subsequent plaster, render or cement-based coatings. It also prevents absorption of mixing water by the surface, which would otherwise cause plaster to crack and delaminate.

Areas of Use

Applied to bare concrete wall and ceiling surfaces prior to plastering or surface coating. Highly effective on smooth, vibrated or form-faced concrete where adhesion problems are common.

Application

Clean the surface thoroughly, removing all dirt, dust and grease. Dilute with 25–30% water by volume and apply in a single coat by roller, stirring regularly during application to prevent settling. Coverage: approx. 4–5 m² per kg. Allow to dry fully before plastering. Application temperature: +5 °C to +30 °C.
