Tile Paint Application Guide: Step by Step

Tile paint protects roof surfaces while providing an aesthetic appearance. When applied correctly, it can provide protection for 10 years and beyond.

Tile Surface Preparation

Before application, clean the tile surface with high-pressure water. If moss or mold is present, treat with fungicide solution and allow at least 24 hours drying time. Loose or broken tiles should be replaced, and grout joints should be inspected.

Primer Application

Apply diluted Clear Primer to the cleaned tile surface. This process balances the absorbent properties of the tile surface, ensuring the topcoat adheres evenly. Priming should not be skipped — it improves paint adhesion by up to 40%.
